Yes, everything we discuss with remain between us.
The only exceptions to this are:
If you disclose you intend to cause serious harm to yourself or someone else
If it is believed a child or protected adult is at risk of harm or abuse
If you disclose information about a proposed act of terrorism, money laundering or drug trafficking
In any of these instances, I would attempt to discuss this with you.
In addition to the above, I also have regular clinical supervision where I discuss my work with clients. Although no identifying information is shared. Supervision is a value of the BACP ethical framework and all registered members must agree to engage in supervision appropriate to their practice.
