Our first session is an opportunity for us to 'meet' and see if we feel we could work together. It is important you feel comfortable with your therapist and the environment the therapy takes place. We can discuss the reasons you are seeking support and answer any questions you may have.

The only exceptions to this are: If you disclose you intend to cause serious harm to yourself or someone else If it is believed a child or protected adult is at risk of harm or abuse If you disclose information about a proposed act of terrorism, money laundering or drug trafficking In any of these instances, I would attempt to discuss this with you. Supervision is a value of the BACP ethical framework and all registered members must agree to engage in supervision appropriate to their practice.
